Welcome to the Spring growing season.
Firstly, happy Monday and happy Spring. Following the equinox last week, we are now in full throttle and wanted to share what’s new and coming up.

What’s New?
We’re excited to announce the launch of our blog! Our organisation has evolved significantly over the past five years, and we wanted a space to share our positive news stories, events, and collaborations with you. Our first blog post showcases the initial session of the seven-month Soil Association pilot, the New Organic Entrepreneurs Programme, which supports new organic entrepreneurs in building sustainable businesses. Check it out here!
Our next blog post (coming next week) will introduce you to our second exciting news story: Hannah has officially joined us as a grower for our 2025 Grow with Wiggly season. Hannah has been volunteering with us since 2024 and has played an essential role in our expansion into Gloucester. With funding from the Gloucestershire ICB Fund, Hannah will help us to grow our Gloucester program in both the Bishop of Gloucester’s garden and Kingsholm Primary School.
As a not-for-profit social enterprise, we fund the vital growing of good food for our community partners by selling seasonal plug plants, produce, and Social Source products online. Following a successful pilot, we have launched our wholesale seasonal salad mixes. Freshly picked lettuce, salad, herb, and edible flower mixes direct to restaurants, pubs, shops, box schemes, and other businesses in the local area. For more details and a current wholesale price list please email hello@weareprojectgrow.com
Maybe not new but Social Source is BACK for 2025. We have started the planning and growing for our product line made in conjunction with Wiggly Charity. Some old favourites will be returning as well as some new varieties and we cannot wait for you to try them. If you are an existing stockist we will be in touch very soon for pre-orders however if you are interested in becoming a stockist please email hello@socialsource.co.uk.
What’s coming up?
Our public community sessions have now officially started running on Tuesdays from 10 am at the Gloucestershire Heritage Hub and Fridays from 10 am at the Community Rest Garden. More can be found out about each site and who we grow for here.
As well as the community sessions we are also offering a small number of corporate and commissioned sessions for 2025. Our corporate sessions can help your business deliver its CSR values, strengthen teams, and increase employee engagement through community activity. To discuss how our urban farming spaces can be used please email us at hello@weareprojectgrow.com.
As Social and Therapeutic Horticulture Practitioners we also offer commissioned sessions for other charitable and community partners. We can open our sites up to your service users to connect them with nature, learn about growing food regeneratively, and increase biodiversity within our urban spaces. We can provide outcomes-based sessions as well as informal monthly meetups like this CCP group who come every month rain or shine.

Lastly - We turn urban spaces into places for growing together. Everything we do is aimed at supporting a circular food system. Improving wellbeing and increasing biodiversity. To support our social enterprise and the work we do please visit our website.
Thank you for everything, eat well and GROW FOOD!
